About the Foundation

Youth-led. Community-rooted. Built on the belief that Africa's greatest asset is its people.

The BM Seed of Hope Foundation (BMSOHF) is a youth-led, non-profit, non-political, and humanitarian organization committed to empowering young people and transforming vulnerable communities through sustainable development initiatives.

Our Vision

A prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Africa where every young person and vulnerable individual has access to opportunities, skills, and support to realize their full potential.

Our Mission

To empower young people, women, and vulnerable communities through entrepreneurship, leadership, education, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable community initiatives that foster independence and lasting transformation.

Our Motto

Planting Seeds of Hope, Growing Leaders for Africa. Hope for All, Change for Life.

Founded on the belief that Africa's greatest asset is its youth, the Foundation works to unlock the potential of young women and men by providing opportunities for entrepreneurship, skills development, leadership, education, innovation, and humanitarian support.

We recognize that many young people possess the talent, ambition, and creativity to succeed but are often constrained by unemployment, limited access to quality education, inadequate entrepreneurial opportunities, poverty, and social inequalities. Our mission is to bridge these gaps by equipping young people with the knowledge, practical skills, mentorship, and opportunities they need to become self-reliant, innovative leaders and active contributors to national development.

Beyond youth empowerment, the Foundation is dedicated to improving the well-being of vulnerable individuals and communities through humanitarian assistance, community outreach, education support, child protection, women's empowerment, and advocacy for inclusive and sustainable development.

Our work is guided by the principles of integrity, compassion, innovation, inclusion, accountability, and service. We actively collaborate with government institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, academic institutions, private sector actors, and local communities to design and implement programmes that create measurable and lasting impact.

As we continue to grow, we remain steadfast in our vision of building a future where every young person has the opportunity to realize their full potential and every vulnerable community has the support needed to thrive.

Message from the Founder
Poverty is not always the absence of money. Sometimes it is the absence of encouragement, opportunity, confidence, and someone who believes in your potential.

Growing up, I lost my mother at a very young age and was raised by extended family who did everything within their means to provide for me. While my physical needs were met, the emotional impact of that loss shaped how I saw myself and the world around me — experiences difficult to explain unless you've lived them.

I often say that I came from being a nobody, but I refused to believe I was destined to remain one. The BM Seed of Hope Foundation was born from that purpose — the conviction that no young person's background should determine the height of their dreams.

Through youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, leadership development, humanitarian assistance, women's empowerment, education support, and community outreach, we seek to restore hope where it has been lost and create opportunities where they are lacking.

We are proud to align our efforts with Cameroon Vision 2035, the African Union Agenda 2063, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — contributing to a future where every young person can thrive and every vulnerable community can live with dignity and hope.

I warmly invite you to join us on this journey. Whether you are a volunteer, partner, donor, government institution, or supporter, your contribution has the power to transform lives and create opportunities for generations to come.

With gratitude and hope, Brenda Monono
Why We Exist

Talent is universal. Opportunity is not.

Africa is home to the world's youngest population — one of the greatest opportunities for global development. Yet millions of young people face unemployment, poverty, inequality, and limited access to education. For vulnerable children, women, and families, the challenges extend to healthcare, protection, and basic necessities. We exist to bridge that gap through entrepreneurship, education, leadership development, humanitarian assistance, and community empowerment — because investing in people is the most sustainable investment any society can make.
